So, you’re aiming to be a perfectionist?
How much do you want it, is that enough?
Blar blar blar…..!
Are you not tired of this message, of this way of thinking!
Don’t you see you have been conditioned to be a all or nothing type?
Most of the motivating material the health industry pumps out is negative, it’s basically making you consider:
I’m pretty much band on the mark with this one and you know it, deep down there is no way to deny it either!
We like to be shown compassion but do you show it……. To yourself?
Form two orderly (English) queues!
On the left: Lets be having all the egotistic sheep that want to torture them self into submission, to achieve these bodies that this industry demands and constantly markets to you that you must achieve to be happy. The ones that believe it’s all or nothing, or your a total failure.
On the right the few that are left….
Those that really want to achieve something, those that get to keep what they achieve for a very long time. Those that realise flexibility is part of being human.
Yeah now we are talking!……
By thinking about these aspects you’re creating solid motivation.
Motivation is part of a per-contemplation that will carry you forwards.
Wanting to lose weight so you don’t have a heart attack and die in front of your kids and loved ones defiantly evokes emotions!
Does it motivate you? Perhaps it does initially, but I think it just instils more misery, negativity and all or nothing mentality.
Now living health, wanting to be able to move, run, laugh and play with your kids, loved ones and friends is something all together different!
Do you see what I’m trying to get at?
