I thought the word sexy would get your attention!
It’s true though, if your hair and skin are clear and vibrant, don’t you think you would feel and look better?
Juicing is a great way to get vital nutrients into your system, if you haven’t juiced before you really are missing out. It can be a pain to wash up and put away, but you get the knack of it after a while. You don’t need to go crazy like I have (spending anything between £100 to £200+ per month on fresh fruit and vegetables) two to three times a week will be sufficient to start.
In time you will probably go through a few different juicers, here are some thoughts:
Start with a cheaper juicer if you’re not sure, like the centrifugal juicers.
A centrifugal juicer chops up the fruit or vegetable with a
flat cutting blade (much like a blender). It then spins the produce at a very high speed (of about 3,000 to 7,000 RPMs) to separate the juice from the pulp.
The juice is extracted by the sheer power of centrifugal
force, just like how a washing machine spins to get rid of excess water.
The down fall with these type are that they produce some
frictional heat which damages the nutrient content, they are also very noisy but better than no juice or juice made from concentrate!
In the long run you may as well buy a more expensive model,
like the masticating juicers, they are slower and often you need to cut the fruit and veg up smaller, The main plus is the juice will be live, containing more nutrients, which in the long run will pay for it.
Masticating juicers are better at preserving nutrients as
they turn slowly and squash the juice out.
If you are juicing for health benefits a masticating style
juicer is the type for you. It’s the essential piece of health kit for getting super powered green juices into your system, it will juice pretty much anything you throw at it, quieter and your probably be able to use to grind up all sorts of foods like nuts and seeds.
I’d go for a masticating juicers every time!
